Workplace report – August 2019

Im August stand der große Familienurlaub an und so war ich etwas am Zweifeln, wieviel Zeit und Muse ich für das Hobby aufbringen konnte. Zu allem Unglück stieg kurz vor der Ferienzeit dann auch noch die berufliche Arbeitslast. Deshalb war ich mehr als überrascht, als ich sah, wieviel am Ende tatsächlich zustande kam.

In August was a big family vacation, so I was a bit skeptical about how much time and passion I could spend on the hobby. Unfortunately, shortly before the holiday season, the workload in the job increased much. So I was more than surprised when I saw how much was actually achieved in the end.

Im Gegensatz zum aktuellen Zeitraum war der Monat Juli ein Monat voller Hobby-Output! Die Ergebnisse könnt Ihr im Bild sehen. Ich habe ein neues Unterprojekt bei SAGA gestartet sowie ein komplett neues. Näheres dazu dann im unten stehenden Text.

In contrast to the current period, the July was a month full of hobby output! You can see the results in the picture. I have started a new subproject for SAGA as well as a completely new one. More details in the text below.

Workplace report – June 2019

Im Werkstattbericht des Monats Mai hatte ich es ja schon angekündigt: der Juni sollte für mich in Sachen Hobby nicht ganz so einfach werden. Der Langzeit-Verwandtenbesuch fand statt sowie der Familienurlaub und Hobby-Aktivitäten traten damit in den Hintergrund. Aber ich glaube ich muss meinen Output nicht verstecken. Es ging doch etwas. Darüber hinaus ergab der Besuch und der Urlaub die Möglichkeit Material für Museumsblogbeiträge zu sammeln.

In the workplace report of May, I had already announced: June should not be that easy for me in terms of hobby. The long-term relatives‘ visit took place, as well as family vacations and with that hobby activities took a back seat. But I do not think I have to hide my output. There was something going on. In addition, the visit and the holidays gave the opportunity to collect material for museum blog contributions.

Workplace report – May 2019

Im Mai startete meine Spielergruppe eine Art Sommerprojekt: 250 Punkte an Figuren/etc. sollte innerhalb einer bestimmten, vorgegebenen Frist bemalt werden. Da ich nur noch in Spartensystemen unterwegs bin (von Kings of War einmal abgesehen, doch das ruht aktuell), schwenkte ich um auf 6 Figuren pro Monat (so wie es bspw. im deutschen Tabletopwelt-Forum Usus ist).

In May my group started some kind of summer project: 250 points of miniatures/etc. should be painted within a specified deadline. Since I am only playing smaler systems (apart from Kings of War, but that is currently resting), I chose to paint 6 miniatures per month (as it is common, for example, in the German Tabletopwelt Forum).

Workplace report – April 2019

Wie Ihr auf dem Bild sehen könnt, scheint der April der bislang ergiebigste Hobby-Monat in meiner Blog-Karriere zu sein. 🙂 Ich habe mein Ziel über vollständiges SAGA-Gelände zu verfügen weiter getrieben (nur noch sechs weitere Geländestücke) und darüber hinaus auch noch Figuren bemalt.

As you can see in the picture, April seems to be the most rewarding hobby month in my blog career. 🙂 I have continued my goal to get a complete set of SAGA terrain (only six more pieces of terrain left for the coming months) and also painted more miniatures.

Battle-Report – SAGA (Normans vs. Vikings)

Die Absicht ein monatliches SAGA Spiel zu bestreiten, hat sich in Nichts aufgelöst. Das letzte Mal haben André und ich die Klingen im Januar gekreuzt und nun war es Mai! Zwar habe ich zwischendurch noch die beiden Partien Lion Rampant bestritten (der Bericht des zweiten Spiels folgt noch!), aber ein wenig Frust war schon vorhanden. Insofern freute ich mich, dass es nun mit einem Spiel klappen sollte und dabei mein neues Gelände sowie neue Truppen eingeweiht wurden.

The intention to play a monthly SAGA game has dissolved into nothing. The last time André and I made a game was in January and now it was May! Although I had the two games of Lion Rampant in between (the report of the second game is still following!). But a little frustration was already there. In this respect, I was glad that it should now work with a game and thereby my new terrain and new troops were inaugurated.

Im März begann schließlich ein Projekt von dem ich noch gar nicht wusste, dass ich es machen wollte, das mich allerdings schon sehr lange plagte. Ich habe mich an den Geländebau gemacht! Ausgangspunkt war ein anstehendes SAGA-Spiel. Darüber hinaus sollten auch weitere Farmtiere fertig werden.

Finally, in March, I started a project that I did not know I wanted to do, but that had been bothering me for a long time. I did Terrain building! The starting point was a pending SAGA game. In addition, other farm animals should be Ready too.
