Ja, Ihr seht richtig! Der Oktober war von einem immensen Figuren-Output geprägt. Warum das so war? Eventuell lag es daran, dass ein großer Teil der Miniaturen verhältnismäßig einfach und dadurch schnell zu bemalen war. Zumindest für die Armbrustschützen gilt das.

Yes, you see right! October was marked by an immense miniature output. What was the reason? Perhaps it was because a large part of the miniatures was relatively simple and therefore easy to paint. At least for the crossbowmen this is true.

Workplace report September 2017

September war der Übergangsmonat von den großen Sommerferien in den normalen Alltag. Nach unserer Reise über den großen Teich standen für mich noch ein paar mehrtägige Dienstreisen an, so dass der Hobby-Output nicht an den des Monats August reichte. Trotzdem wurden wieder einige Modelle fertig und die Menge unbemalten Zinns reduziert. 🙂 Leider sind die Bilder schlecht ausgeleuchtet, aber die Lichtverhältnisse der letzten Tage waren suboptimal.

September was the transitional month from the big summer holidays to normal everyday life. After the trip across the Atlantic there were a few more days on business trips, so that the hobby output did not reach that of August. Nevertheless, some models were finished and with this the amount of unpainted metal was reduced. 🙂 Unfortunately, the pictures have poor light, but the conditions of the last few days were suboptimal.

Anfang August endete meine Schreibarbeit und bis Monatsmitte hatte ich freie Zeit. Erst dann sollte der Sommer-/Familienurlaub beginnen. Genug Zeit für mich, um für das Hobby einige Figuren fertig zu stellen. Ihr seht die Ergebnisse oben!

At the beginning of August my paperwork ended and until mid-month I had spare time. Then the summer/family vacation should begin. Enough time for me to finish some miniatures for the hobby. You can see the results above!

Workplace report June 2017

Im Juni versuchte ich an die Ergebnisse des Monats Mai anzuschließen – allerdings klappte das nicht so ganz. Trotzdem war ich über die Resultate nicht unglücklich. Auch vermeintlich kleine Ergebnisse „schmelzen“ schließlich den Berg an unbemalten Figuren ab. 🙂

In June, I tried to connect with the results of the month of May – but it did not quite work out. Nevertheless, I was not unhappy about the results. Even supposedly small results finally „melt“ the mountain of unpainted miniatures. 🙂

Workplace report May 2017

Ich sah und sehe Licht am Ende des Tunnels! Im Mai, nach Asienreise, Familienurlaub, Schreibarbeit und Beruf, gelang es mir tatsächlich wieder die Pinsel zu schwingen. Die grundierten Figuren aus dem Aprilbild wollten Farbe bekommen. Ich begann recht zaghaft, doch dann wurde es mehr als gedacht. Leider habe ich die Bilder in Eile geknipst, so dass die Qualität darunter litt.

There is light at the end of the tunnel! In May, after traveling to Asia, family vacation, writing and work, I actually managed to move to the painting table again. The primed miniatures from the April picture wanted to get color. I began quite timidly, but then I got more than I had imagined. Unfortunately I made the pictures in a hurry, so the quality suffered.

Es ist wieder an der Zeit für einen „aktuellen“ Werkstattbericht! Naja, im Juli für den April zu schreiben und dann von Aktualität zu sprechen ist etwas gewagt, aber so ist das nun mal mit der Zeit sowie ihrer Knappheit. 🙂

It is time again for a „current“ workshop report! Well, writing in July about things done in April and then speaking of actuality is something dared, but that is the thing with time as well as their scarcity. 🙂

Eine dürre Ausbeute auf dem Bemaltisch im März! Die Gründe habe ich in den vergangenen beiden Beiträgen ja schon genannt und Wiederholungen gefallen nicht (müsste ein Zitat aus Asterix sein 🙂 ).
